Trump is the one singlehandedly taking the cheapest, fastest-to-build form of energy off the grid at a staggering and costly pace, all while forcing taxpayers to prop up the coal industry that supplies the dirtiest and most expensive power on the grid. Since he took office, there’s been no ‘DRASTIC DROP’ in energy prices to speak of—in fact, household electric bills have jumped 10% and are rising more than twice as fast as the cost of living. Now, Donald Trump wants New Jerseyans and Virginians to choose GOP candidates who would join his war on clean energy and raise energy bills for residents.

“States have enormous power to address rising energy costs, but handing that power to politicians promising Trump’s same failed, corrupt approach is a recipe for even higher bills and bigger profits for fossil fuel CEOs and utilities. Democrats are fighting to take on a broken system like PJM, rein in corporate greed, and invest in homegrown clean energy that cuts bills and strengthens the grid. Trump and his Republican allies aren’t cutting costs—they’re protecting profits and making families pay the price.”
