Hope Basil is the operations specialist at Evergreen. Previously, she was the director of People Power and Light, where she recruited climate-focused candidates to run in local elections in Louisiana. She has worked on electoral campaigns across the South and Midwest, including Senator Elizabeth Warren’s presidential campaign in South Carolina and Senator Doug Jones’ re-election campaign in Alabama, where she later became the organizing director for the Alabama Democratic Party. She is a Chicago native but currently calls New Orleans home. She can be found listening to live music or exploring local festivals in her free time.
